C56 – PBO
Cover in PBO-Zylon®
100% PBO-Zylon® cover, with incomparable mechanical characteristics of resistance to abrasion and heat (melting point 650 ° C). It is used on high performance boats and maxi yachts, to protect lines subjected to high loads, both constant (e.g. code 0 tack), and dynamic (e.g. runner tails) where the peak temperatures triggered by surges can put other fibers in crisis. It can also be used as cover for high-load lines blocked on stoppers. It is very sensitive to UV rays.
USE: Protection Covers are ideal to protect the critical points where the ropes run at high speed, with continuous friction and heavy loading, i.e. to defend the exit points of halyards at the top of masts and on stoppers, to protect sheets and tackles on winches and all the running rigging subject to high stress.
The diameter must be read as diameter of the finished rope when the core is inserted.
